Wilson Family: Centennial, CO
Category: Baby, child, DMMB, Family, newborn, Portraits, toddlerAuthor: Liz
The Wilson family came together in honor of baby Grace's baptism over the Easter holiday. I am so glad they were able to spend some time playing and laughing together while I captured it all. Enjoy!

There are a million things I love about photographing people. One of my favorites is how unpredictable it all is. This holds especially true with newborns. Kimbal had her heart set on being awake and in her parents arms for this shoot. It's amazing how secure and content a newborn is when they're in the comfort of their parents embrace. I loved capturing all of their magical, unpredictable family moments. Welcome home Kimbal!

I'm offering a great Mother's Day Special! There is something so perfect about a picture that captures a mother's love for her son or daughter. They always make me smile. This makes a great Mother's Day gift! Visit the "Contact Me" page of my website or email me at lizfendellphotography@gmail.com to set up a session. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hospital shoots are particularly special. It isn't often you get to intrude on such an intimate experience to capture a tiny human's first moments on Earth. I love my job. And I love this family. I've photographed Charli regularly since her birth and was honored to snap some photos of her beautiful younger sister, Kimbal. Can you feel the love through your computer screen? Perfection.

It can't be easy to have twins for siblings. My son is 3 1/2 and lately I get the feeling he thinks he's getting the raw end of this whole attention from mom deal. Maybe it's the fact that he keeps showing up by the side of my bed in the middle of the night or maybe it's that he has been throwing tantrums if he can't sit on my lap during dinner. Call it mom's intuition, but I think I'm on to something…Yesterday he was the first to wake up from nap. Let's be real, he doesn't nap anymore. He was the first to decide he was done pretending to nap. He comes in my room and starts jumping on my bed. Instead of continuing to work on my computer, I stopped and got out the camera. We spent the next 20 minutes taking pictures as he soared through the air like superman only to come crashing down on the bed like a mere mortal. We had a blast. We laughed. And he got some attention. In that moment he was an only child again and we both thought it felt pretty great.
